Herb Morgan running for California State Controller

As a lifelong Californian with 38 years on Wall Street, founded, managed, and sold a successful asset management firm and is now running for California State Controller. He aims to transform the office from a passive bookkeeper into an active “watchdog” of taxpayer dollars, instituting radical transparency with real-time, online fiscal oversight of the state’s $300+ billion budget. As Controller he plans to strengthen  internal audits and aggressively prevent waste, fraud, and abuse. In January, Herb Morgan joined with Governor candidate Steve Hilton, candidate for Lieutenant Governor, Gloria Romero, and CA Attorney General candidate, Michael Gates, to launch CAL DOGE, an initiative focused on rooting out corruption, fraud, and waste and reforming California’s state government.

Ed Musgrove, Candidate, CA Senate, Dist 40

In January 2025, Ed Musgrove announced his candidacy for California’s 40th Senate District seat. A lifelong public servant with experience in military, law enforcement, and civic leadership, he is currently serving his second term on the San Marcos City Council. Mr. Musgrove has many priorities for the state office he seeks, including addressing homelessness, rising costs of living, infrastructure needs, housing development, and water conservation. Ed believes local governments need greater funding flexibility and a stronger return of state resources to meet Sacramento’s mandates. If elected, he will continue advocating for San Marcos, and several other North County communities, but on the state level.
