Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco was the first major Republican to enter the 2026 California race for Governor. Having served over 31 years in law enforcement, he was elected Sheriff in 2018, then re-elected in 2022, having built a statewide reputation focused on public safety, crime reduction, and government accountability. He has faced the reality of California’s failed policies on a daily basis and is running for Governor to revive the broken California Dream. Sheriff Bianco seeks to bring his experience, moral courage, and priorities of God, Family, and Service Above Self to Sacramento. He believes it’s time California has a Sheriff in the Governor’s seat, not just another politician.
